Many of you will have already met John. He’s one of the most experienced hands on our team. Today we wanted to give you a proper introduction to the man and his approach.

John has been practising acupuncture for over two decades. Long before the Get Well Clinics, he was taking treatment into NHS hospitals and hospices, working through the Complementary Health Trust to bring acupuncture to people in central London who needed it most, including running dedicated programmes for stroke rehabilitation and for patients supported by Macmillan Cancer Support. That’s the kind of grounding you can’t get from a textbook: years of hands-on experience treating people at some of the hardest moments of their lives, in clinical settings where results have to speak for themselves.

His technique is built on Dr. Tan’s Balance Method, a distal style of acupuncture he trained in directly under master acupuncturist Dr. Richard Tan. In plain terms: rather than needling only where it hurts, John treats points elsewhere on the body that communicate with the affected area, often bringing noticeably fast relief in the treatment room itself. It’s a big part of why patients come back to him specifically for stubborn, long-running pain.

Ask John what he sees most in clinic and he’ll point to three things: chronic pain that hasn’t responded to much else, migraines, and the physical toll of stress, alongside a steady stream of patients using acupuncture to support fertility. He treats the person in front of him, not just the symptom on the form, and he keeps that approach current with regular training and workshops.

If you’ve been putting up with pain, tension, or stress that hasn’t shifted, John is very much worth booking in with. Check the website for his current availability at Get Well Clinics Camberwell.

Acupuncturist Spotlight:
📍Jason Crowl LicAc MBAcC
Jason has been working with us for 2 years and has been in practice for 7 years.

He very recently welcomed baby Kane into the world!

Jason came to acupuncture through pain himself - years of personal training, martial arts injuries and corrective exercise work taught him just how much the body can recover when you treat the root cause, not just the symptom.

He holds a BSc in Acupuncture from the International College of Oriental Medicine, one of the leading acupuncture teaching institutions in the UK and now brings that same corrective-exercise background into every treatment at the Get Well Clinics. He has also been practising George’s Medical Pulsology pulse diagnosis techniques for 18 months.

He specialises in chronic pain that hasn’t responded to anything else:
back and neck pain
📍TMJ
📍fibromyalgia
📍post-surgical pain
📍frozen shoulder
📍drop foot
📍loss of sensation
📍He also has strong experience treating PMT symptoms and water retention.

Whether it’s an athlete carrying an old injury or someone dealing with a neurological condition, Jason’s approach is the same - combine the precision of acupuncture with over 11 years of hands-on knowledge of how the body moves, so the relief actually lasts.

If chronic pain has been ruining your life, Jason’s healing hands are the place to start.

Marion has been practising acupuncture for 23 year

Marion has been practising acupuncture for 23 years, and her roots in it run deep.

Marion trained at Westminster University in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture, and during her studies spent time in Chengdu, China, observing acupuncture in a hospital setting, an experience that shaped how she practises to this day.

From there she spent over a decade at the NHS Gateway Clinic in south London, a busy multibed clinic where she built her skill treating chronic and musculoskeletal pain, anxiety and emotional stress, digestive conditions, hormonal imbalances, and fatigue and burnout.

That multibed, community setting is something Marion has carried straight into the Get Well Clinics since joining George in 2014. She’s a genuine believer in the collective atmosphere of treating alongside other patients, not just as a lower-cost option but as part of the healing itself.

Marion also brings a broad toolkit: alongside acupuncture, she’s a highly experienced yoga instructor and draws on shiatsu massage and postural integration, so treatment with Marion tends to look at the whole picture, not just the presenting complaint.

Patients describe her as grounded, intuitive and generous, like a big warm hug that makes everything ok - the kind of practitioner who takes time to help you understand what’s going on in your own body. If you’re dealing with ongoing pain, stress, digestive issues, hormonal ups and downs, or simply running on empty, Marion is a vital part of your healthcare journey.

You’ll find Marion at our
